Dear Baldwin Academy Families,

The Baldwin staff is thrilled to welcome you back as we launch into a cosmic school year filled with connection, achievement, and belonging. Our theme — Rise Together: Every Day. Every Heart. Every Mind. — reminds us that every student matters and every day is a new opportunity to rise. Together, we’ll lift each other up, overcome challenges, and reach new heights.
📅 Important Dates for Launch
🛰️ First Day of School:
Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 — 1st Bell rings at 7:55 am and class starts at 8:00 am.
🌟 TK/Kindergarten & New Student Orientation:
Tuesday, August 5th, 12:30–1:00 PM
This session is designed to help our youngest learners and new families feel ready and confident for takeoff!
🚀 Teacher Meet & Greet:
Tuesday, August 5th, 1:00–2:00 PM
Meet your child’s teacher and explore the campus! Baldwin Booster Parents will be selling spirit wear shirts.
🗂️ Student Data Confirmation
The Data Confirmation window opens July 24th. Please complete this process for each child to ensure their health and safety information is up to date. You’ll be able to see your child’s teacher in Aeries after completing this step.

🛎️ First Day Reminders – August 6th
- 7:00 AM – Cafeteria opens (only students may enter the cafeteria)
- 7:15 AM – Breakfast served (FREE for all students)
- 7:55 AM – First bell rings
- 8:00 AM – Class begins
Parents may walk students to their class line-up from August 6–8, but starting Monday, August 11, students will walk to class independently after entering the cafeteria.

🧑🚀 Volunteer Opportunities
NEW! Volunteer Process-Throughout the school year, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. This year, our volunteer application is online. Applications are available in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. The application can be located on the district website or by clicking on Volunteers. Please utilize the flowchart to determine what type of application to complete. If you were a volunteer at Baldwin during the 24-25 school year, please contact the office or email Mrs. Arena at karena@hlpusd.org in order to determine if a renewal application is necessary. Renewals are required when required documents have expired.
🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up
- Drop-Off: All students enter through the cafeteria starting at 7:00 AM. The back gate will no longer be used.
- Pick-Up:
- TK/Kinder – Picked up from classrooms.
- Grades 1–5 – Picked up in front of the school or escorted to the carline area as communicated by parent/guardian.
- Any student not picked up will be escorted to the carline area in front of the school.
- TK/Kinder – Picked up from classrooms.
🥪 Breakfast & Lunch
FREE for all students, every day.
- Breakfast: 7:15 AM – 7:45 AM
- Lunch: Served during regular lunch periods

🅿️ Parking Lot Safety
Parking spaces are reserved for employees only from 7:00 AM–2:30 PM. Let’s keep our staff and students safe by following all traffic rules.
🎓 School Uniform & Spirit Wear
- Tops: Navy Blue, Light Blue, White, or Baldwin spirit wear (no collars required, but must have sleeves)
- Bottoms: Navy, khaki/tan, or jeans (no holes)
- Spirit Wear Sale: Tuesday, August 5th, 12:00–2:30 PM (cash only)

Before the school year begins, join us for our Resource Fair where families can receive:
- Free backpacks & supplies
- Data Confirmation support
- Volunteer Application support
- Wellness resources
- Free Dental Screening (this is an enrollment requirement for TK & Kindergarten students).
- Free books and games
- Choose from a selection of food and dessert certificates (2 per student)
