Summer Letter

Dear Parents and Families,


      Welcome to our new and returning families! I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the last couple of weeks of summer vacation.  


      We at Baldwin Academy School look forward to an exciting and successful year working as partners with you to provide your student(s) with the highest quality education possible. There are many challenging learning experiences ahead for each of our students this year, and the Baldwin Academy family is dedicated to making this year your child’s most successful yet! 


      Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Baldwin Academy. I hope that throughout this year, we can work together in partnership to make it the best return ever for all of our new and returning students. 


      Please take a moment to read the following information, which outlines dates and other information that will help get your child’s school year off to a great start.  If you have any questions after reviewing this information, please stop in or call the school office at (626) 933-3701.






Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


VIRTUAL Meet Your Teacher Day: Tuesday, August 3, 2021, starting at 1:00 p.m. – VIRTUAL (more information to come with zoom links)


First Day of School – Wednesday, August 4, 2021 – MARK YOUR CALENDARS!


Del Haven After School Program: If you’d like your child to attend the after-school program, please contact Del Haven at 626.917.9789. Remember, spaces are limited. 


Attendance: Attendance is very important. Students should be here on time daily. Make sure if your child is absent, turn a note into your child’s teacher when they return or call the office. We appreciate your help with this. 

Data Confirmation: Log into your Aeries Parent Portal and COMPLETE all data confirmation for your child. There should be a button on top of your portal that says DATA CONFIRMATION. 


2021-2022 Classes:  We will not be posting class rosters in the cafeteria doors. You will need to log into AERIES to find your child’s teacher. 


Uniform Policy/Dress Code: Please adhere to the district-wide dress code, outlined in the handbook – will provide to you. Please make sure students have dressed appropriately for learning, free from logos, writing, holes, etc. Students should wear neat and clean clothing and closed-toe shoes. Tuesdays will be college days - we encourage students to wear any college/university shirt.


Breakfast & Lunch: Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students every single day. We encourage every family to complete the application.  We serve breakfast between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m.


Drop Off/Pick Up and Parking Lot Safety: Keep students and staff safe by following all traffic and respecting city crossing guards and our parking lot assistants. 


Student Dismissal: Grades TK and Kindergarten classes will need to be picked up from your child’s classrooms, 1st-grade classes will exit through the gates by the TK classes, 2nd-grade classes will exit through the cafeteria, and Grades 3-6 through the front gate by the office.


Parent Square – Parent/School Communication App: We used this app last year. If you have not done so already, please make sure to DOWNLOAD the app and set your notifications to on. You can choose your preferred language on this app as well. If you have any questions, please contact our school office.
