Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to our new and returning families! I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the last couple of weeks of summer vacation.
We at Baldwin Academy look forward to an exciting and successful year working as partners with you to provide your student(s) with the highest quality education possible. This year’s theme is “Growing Stronger Together!”
Please take a moment to read the following information, which outlines dates and other information that will help get your child’s school year off to a great start. If you have any questions after reviewing this information, please stop in or call the school office at (626) 933-3701.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Meet Your Teacher – Meet and Greet!: Tuesday, August 2, 2022, starting at 1:00 p.m. We are hoping to have this meeting in person this year. The purpose of this quick meeting is to meet your teacher and for our students to have a successful first day of school because they will know their teacher and general expectations.
First Day of School – Wednesday, August 3, 2021 – MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Del Haven After School Program: If you’d like your child attend the after school program, please contact Del Haven at 626.917.9789. Remember, spaces are limited.
Attendance: Attendance is very important. Students should be here on time daily. Make sure, if your child is absent, to call the office. This year we are going to work on arriving to school on time. We appreciate your assistance with this.
2022-2023 Classes: All classes will be posted on the aeries parent portal on July 29th. We will not be posting class rosters on the cafeteria doors. You will need to log into AERIES to find your child’s teacher.
Uniform Policy/Dress Code: Our uniform colors are navy blue, powder (baby) blue, and white. Please adhere to the district wide dress code, outlined in handbook. Students should wear neat and clean clothing and closed toe shoes. Tuesdays will be college days and students are encouraged to wear Baldwin Gear or uniform the rest of the week. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for learning, free from logos, writing, holes, etc.
Breakfast & Lunch: Breakfast and lunch is FREE for all students every single day. We encourage every family to complete application. We serve breakfast between 7:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.
Data Confirmation: Make sure to log into your Aeries Parent Portal and COMPLETE all data confirmation for your child. By completing this process, you ensure the emergency contact information is updated; we also need the meal application completed.
Drop Off/Pick Up and Parking Lot Safety: Parking in the parking lot is designated for EMPLOYEES ONLY from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Lets’ work together to keep students and staff safe by following all traffic and respecting city crossing guards and our parking lot assistants.
Student Dismissal: Grades TK and Kindergarten classes will need to be picked up from your child’s classrooms, 1st grade classes will exit through the gates by the TK classes, 2nd grade classes will exit through the cafeteria, and Grades 3-6 through the front gate by the office. If you would like your child to be dismissed through the back gate, please make sure to complete form – your child’s teacher and the office will have a copy of this form.
Parent Square – Parent/School Communication App: We used this app last year. If you have not done so already, please make sure to DOWNLOAD the app and set your notifications to on. You can choose your preferred language on this app as well. If you have any questions, please contact our school office.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DOWNLOAD THIS APP
Class times are as follows:
TK, Kindergarten, First, Second &Third Grades: 8:00 a.m. to 1:51 p.m.
Fourth, Fifth, Sixth Grades: 8:00 a.m. to 2:07 p.m.
**This year we will have early release on Thursdays:
TK – 3 @ 1:23 and 4th through 6th @ 1:33
Our office is open Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
